Pastor Tina LaToya Jones was born on July 19, 1978 in Indianapolis, IN, to Charles and Gloria Cornett. She is the youngest of 5 siblings, 1 sister and 4 brothers. Tina graduated in the top 10 percent of her high school class and was involved with directing the gospel choir, playing basketball, and volleyball. After the closing of Howe High School, she completed her high school education at Emmerich Manual High School in 1996.
Tina decided to further her education by attending Kentucky State University, Frankfort, Kentucky in 1997-2001. Although this was a difficult time in her life, due to the death of close relatives (her father, grandparents, and uncle) while at college, she was still able to accomplish many things. Some of Tina’s accomplishments were: student ambassador, resident advisor (R.A.), student director of the Kentucky State Gospel Ensemble, Miss Gospel Ensemble, vice president of Gospel Ensemble, NAACP member, Big Brother Big Sister mentor, freshman mentor, 1st Attendant to Miss Kentucky State University, Miss Oratorical, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and national dean’s list honoree for 2 years. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with an accumulative grade point average of 3.08.
Tina has been raised in a Christian home that instilled values, work ethic, and belief in God. She loves people, peanut butter and chocolate, and shoes. On September 4, 2004, she was married in Holy Matrimony to her loving and supportive husband, Pastor Glendon Darryl Jones. On August 31, 2007, Tina was ordained as an Elder in the SOMA Family of Ministries and commissioned to be Co-Pastor of Church of Judah Family Worship Center in Xenia, Ohio by Apostle Mark and Prophetess Nicki Pfeifer. Pastor Tina has a no nonsense ministry, that provokes people to change through unadulterated truths of the Bible. She believes that if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.
Along with her husband, Pastor Tina has been called to the ministry of Jeremiah 1:10 saying, “"See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, To pluck up and to break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant." With prophetic insights she cuts to the heart of the matter to press out the greater weight of Glory in the life of God’s people. Pastor Tina has a passion for marriages, people living in alternative lifestyles, and persons under demonic influences.
Pastor Tina is continuing her education at Payne Theological Seminary to obtain her Masters degree in divinity with her concentration in Biblical studies. One of her aspirations is to become the first African American, plus size, preaching, runway models. Tina’s life motto is: “You are your only limitation, keep the faith.”
